Yusuf's story

Yusuf runs a large convenience store situated in Zone One, central London. A vibrant and busy location, he offers his customers everything from fresh organic groceries to beers and staple household items. 

Just over three years ago, Yusuf switched to Payzone following the permanent closure of his previous shop, where he used Paypoint’s Bill Payment Solutions. 

We asked Yusuf why he joined Payzone.

The opening of Yusuf’s store coincided with the end of his Paypoint contract. Keen to explore other bill payment options, he began to consider Payzone as an alternative. Through social media, Yusuf was aware that Payzone and British Gas now had an exclusive contract. Further research convinced Yusuf that he would also be able to offer a wide range of other services through Payzone. 

“I was following Payzone on social media and saw that Payzone offered British Gas alongside other major energy providers. That’s when I knew that yes, I wanted to go for Payzone.”

We asked Yusuf what the key differences were between Payzone and Paypoint.

When Yusuf switched to Payzone, most other convenience stores in the area were using Paypoint. Not only did Payzone give Yusuf access to British Gas and other major providers, he also discovered that Payzone’s customer service was much more personable and helpful. 

Today, Yusuf’s brand-new store has the Payzone Plus device and every service that comes with it. 

We asked Yusuf how he feels about the Payzone Plus device.

“I’m happy with the Payzone Plus device and I wouldn’t return to Paypoint now. The broad range of services, particularly utility payments, attracts lots of customers into my store. Next, I would like to explore the possibility of becoming a Payzone SuperAgent and stock electricity keys and gas cards.”
