Payzone: Giving the Gift of New Partnerships

Latest News

Step away from the last minute garage flowers and put down that box of Black Magic... Payzone is now partnered with One4all Gift Cards!

One4all Gift Cards and Choice Cards has signed a long term contract with Payzone. That means that from 25th November 2020, Payzone retailers who have opted-in can sell gift cards in their store.

What is One4all Gift Cards and Choice Cards?

One4all gift cards entered into the convenience market in 2001. Before this, a gift card could only be purchased at brick and mortar locations specific to the brand. Thanks to One4all, customers can buy gift cards for a wide range of well-known brands at local convenience stores and supermarkets.

Selected Payzone stores will stock the following different card types:

  • One4all gift cards for every occasion, including Classic, Birthday and Christmas
  • Gamers Choice gift cards for PlayStation, NDS, Xbox and more
  • Fashion Choice gift cards for a wide variety of high street brands
  • Restaurant Choice gift cards for popular high street restaurants

When a customer purchases one of these cards, the recipient can spend the monetary value at hundreds of stores, including Argos, Primark, Boots, TK Maxx and M&S. Other brands include ASOS, Googleplay, Xbox, Spotify, Sony, Pizza Express, Nandos and more!

One4all and Choice gift cards are the perfect choices for birthdays, Christmases, anniversaries and more, including romantic dinner dates and family meals out.

There really is a card for every occasion.

Simon Lambert, Commercial Director at Payzone, said:

“We are delighted to extend the successful partnership already in place with Blackhawk and Post Office to support our Payzone retailers. The tie up is great news for Payzone and highlights our significantly strengthened and diverse offering. Gift cards are a good way to support the high street during the current lockdown and present an additional opportunity for retailers as we approach the festive season. This latest contract win follows a series of successes for Payzone over the past year, and we will continue to strengthen our network over the coming months.”

How does it work?

When a customer wants to buy a gift card in a Payzone store, they will choose which type of card they would like (Classic, Birthday, Christmas One4all gift cards or the Gamer, Fashion or Restaurant Choice Cards). Payzone retailers will then complete the following process:

  1. The customer will choose their preferred card and the amount they want to spend.
  2. Swipe the card or scan the barcode before accepting a cash or card payment and following the instructions on the terminal.
  3. Confirm the purchase and supply the customer with a printed receipt.

The recipient of the gift card can then spend the monetary value on their favourite brands both online or in-store.

So, what does this mean for retailers?

One4all gift cards are another type of service that can drive footfall and increase revenue for Payzone retailers.

To offer this new service in-store, Payzone retailers will have to opt-in before receiving their first batch of gift cards, a display stand and POS. All existing Payzone retailers will receive an email containing a barcode. To opt-in, simply scan the barcode using your mobile phone and leave the rest up to us!
