The Health Lottery FAQs

What time is the Health Lottery drawn?
The Health Lottery consists of 12 individual society lotteries and is drawn 5 times a week from Tuesday-Saturday. Tickets, for 5 numbers, cost £1 each and the results are usually published after 8pm on the day of the draw. If you have a £1 ticket, you’ll automatically be entered into the £100k free prize draw on a Wednesday and Saturday.

How to play the Health Lottery
Playing The Health Lottery is easy. Head to your nearest Payzone store, Post Office or Health Lottery retailer to purchase a ticket in-store. Or, you can set up an account and play online and buy tickets up to 5 weeks in advance.

What are the odds of winning on the Health Lottery?
You have a 1 in 9.7 chance of winning the Health Lottery. So, although the jackpot may not be as big compared to the National Lottery, your chances of winning are greater.

What is the Health Lottery raffle?
On the first day of the month, following the five weekly lottery draws, each community lottery runs a Mega raffle draw with the chance to win £250,000. There will always be a winner because the raffle is drawn from the existing pool of entrants.

How to claim the Health Lottery
Think you’re a winner? How you collect your prize will depend on where you bought your ticket and how much you’ve won. If you bought your ticket in-store and won £250, or less, you will be able to collect this over the counter at a Health Lottery store. You will need to call their helpline to collect a prize of over £10,000.

Online players will automatically be paid up to £2,000 directly into your online player account. For winnings over this amount, you will also need to call the Health Lottery helpline.

You need to have a valid ticket, be over the age of 16 and collect your prize money within 180 days of the prize draw.
