SALES DIRECTOR, MARK MELLOR, COMPLETES NEW SENIOR LINE UP AT PAYZONE UK

LONDON, 5th July 2010 – Leading consumer payments network, Payzone UK, is pleased to announce the appointment of skilled sales professional, Mark Mellor, as UK Sales Director. The news supports a recent move by Managing Director, Bill Thomson, to bolster his senior management team in preparation for new plans that will see Payzone deliver further payment and revenue driving services in 2010.
Mark joins Commercial Director, Richard Whalley, who was appointed in March this year, in what promises to be a rewarding year for the Payzone UK business and its nationwide retailer network. With over twenty years spent managing successful sales strategies in both corporate and entrepreneurial environments, including Whitbread and Royal Doulton, Mark will now lead Payzone’s growth plans and diversification into new markets through the execution of a newly focussed sales plan. He also assumes responsibility for maintaining and developing relationships with the buying groups, convenience multiples and trade bodies that represent the UKs independent retailers.

Bill Thomson comments, “Mark will be leading a dedicated team to drive growth of our retailer network for the benefit of our clients ensuring maximum penetration of our payment solutions and products. This will include new products, such as SIM cards being made available at point of sale, and the expansion of our card acceptance service in to a broader retail spectrum.
