CHRISTIAN AID MAKES CHARITY FUNDRAISING EVEN SIMPLER WITH PAYZONE UK

LONDON 9th-15th, May 2010 - This Christian Aid Week Payzone UK, a leading consumer payments network, has teamed up with The Cooperative Bank to offer the most simple way for hard working fundraisers to make deposits directly to the charity.

Over 20,000 Payzone outlets, situated in convenient retail locations across the country, will be accepting payments on behalf of Christian Aid Week, the longest running annual fund raising event in the UK with over 50 years of active history. The many thousands of church committees, and their local volunteers, who take to the streets during the second week of May, can now deposit all donations quickly and securely via a Payzone terminal.

Payzone UK processes in excess of 135 million transactions for blue chip clients every year but feels particularly strongly about assisting such a worthy campaign as Christian Aid Week. Each volunteer can make as many individual deposits as they like and according to Payzone, the new payment method will ensure more collections reach the charity without unnecessary delay.
